The
Coastlinks site has been established to:
| ---· |
serve
as a single entry point coastal and marine portal for Victoria; |
| ---· |
improve
awareness of coastal and marine values, issues, planning and
management; |
| ---· |
improve
sharing and access to coastal and marine information and databases
for the community and Government agencies; |
| ---· |
facilitate
coordination and ensure an integrated approach is taken in planning
and managing Victoria's coast and marine waters. |
The
site brings together the many stakeholders, agencies and interest
groups with an interest in, and responsibility for policy development
and management of different parts of the coast, its catchments,
waterways and the marine environment. See About
Coastlinks for more information.
Please note: Coastlinks is a statewide extension of
the West Victorian Coast and Marine Information Reference (WVCMIR)
originally conceived and developed by the Western Coastal Board
and stakeholders. All information previously available via WVCMIR
can now be accessed through relevant sections of Coastlinks.
